Frequently asked questions
What happens in discovery?
Discovery is a fixed-price phase: stakeholder workshops, a current-state review, prioritised opportunities and a clear business case. You get scope options and a recommended path before any larger delivery commitment.
How do you price engagements?
Most work starts with fixed-price discovery or a proof of value. Delivery then runs as fixed-price stages, time and materials for agile delivery, or a monthly retainer for managed services — whichever fits the work. You get options in writing before you commit.
Which security and quality standards do you work to?
We design to ACSC Essential Eight principles and ISM guidance where relevant, the Australian Privacy Principles, WCAG 2.2 AA for public websites, Australia’s AI Ethics Principles and the Voluntary AI Safety Standard, and AWS and Azure Well-Architected practices. SA ISMF expectations are considered for government work.
How long does a typical project take?
A focused discovery or proof of value is often a few weeks. Delivery then runs in two-week sprints with a demo every fortnight, so you see working software early. Timelines depend on scope, integrations and decision speed — we put a realistic plan in the proposal.
